February Monthly Research Meeting of the main branch
The first meeting of the year was held on February 5th.
We went to visit the exhibition
(organized in collaboration with the society)
in the Itabashi Historical Museum.

At 13:30, the society’s senior advisor Mr. Fujimoto,
gave a lecture about the many years of deep research in in armour.
After that, vice president of the society and main driving force behind the exhibition,
Mr. Miura gave, notwithstanding his recovery of a bone fracture,
an explanation of the main exhibits on display.
Among the exhibit are the important cultural property
kinkozane shiroitosugake odoshi doumarugusoku (untill the 18th),
other gusoku from the same period, Edo period daimyo gusoku, several kawari kabuto,
fireweapon equipment, and armour from a movie.
In total 35 people attended the meeting so it was a great success.
The 136 pages thick illustrated catalogue cost 1,000 yen
and contains many pictures and explanation of the exhibited pieces.
A visit to the exhibition is really recommended.
